Indian Riders/Indian Owners Joint Rally - Norfolk 2008

After weeks of planning and worrying about the weather, constant letters, phone calls and emails with Russell who was the organiser of the joint club event, the day finally arrived.
We drove up from the south to the field which was to be the rally site  and to our surprise there was this beautiful manicured field. We were met by Mouse Nolan who along with her husband Mark had donated the site free of charge to us and made us very welcome.
The turn out was amazing over 100 people with various machines.
The stalwarts from our club did sterling work in the kitchen assisted by John Wright along with Calvin and Tracey Jones.
The local church loaned tables and chairs so there was no shortage of seating at mealtimes.
The ride out was somewhat disjointed but that is to be expected with so many machines taking part.

Without a doubt the food situation was suburb with plenty and enough to feed those left back at Sunday afternoon.
Sascha Butler again provided some gorgeous cakes from her cake shop and  along with Francesca’s magnificent cakes we were well satisfied.
The church fund benefited with a £200 donation and the remaining profits of the rally were shared between the two clubs
The raffle with prizes donated by our many friends raised £212.10 and some of this was used to update our tea/coffee making facilities. Good old Ebay found us  a new baby Burco boiler for just £31 including the postage, so  you don’t have to wait so long for the kettle to boil now! We also bought some new connecters etc for our gas cookers.
All in all a fine event and one to be remembered.
My thanks go out to all who helped to make this happen .
Hope to see you all at the next one which will probably be in Wales.
